In partnership with Subaru Asia, Yu Tsai leaves the hustle and bustle of the big city and ventures into the countryside of Taiwan, to the city of Miao Li, where he meets with the Sheng Xiang Cake Shop family to learn about a century old traditional Hakka pastry. He takes a walk through picturesque tea fields to find out more about the Hakka tea farmers, and winds down at the amazing, natural hot springs of Tai’an. Special guest, Taiwanese radio DJ and TV host, GiGi Lin, joins Yu Tsai at Miao Li Story Land, to visit Mr. Huang’s museum of old collectibles and get a taste of Hakka culture and cuisine. Back in the Kitchen, Yu Tsai makes a delicate Smoked Tea Duck for his special guests.
