In partnership with Subaru Asia, Yu Tsai returns home to Taipei to experience a bit of the old and new. His first stop is to sample some delicious traditional street food at a hundred year old temple and venture into Binjang market, where he samples a modern twist on an old Taiwanese favourite, the Gua Bao. While exploring Dadaocheng, Yu Tsai meets the owner of Hoshing Rice Sponge Cakes to see how a classic confection has been revived for the younger generation. Special guest, Asia’s Next Top Model season 6 finalist, Mia Sabathy, joins Yu Tsai as they walk through Dihua Street, to see the hip side of Taipei and visit Ri Xing Type Foundry, where they meet with Yu Tsai’s old family friend, who is determined to preserve traditional Chinese movable type. Once again, Yu Tsai heads into the kitchen and this time, he whips up his east meets west delicious Bao Burgers for his dinner guests.
